Nutanix Prism Central

Overview

The Nutanix PrismCentral Integration allows Cywift to securely connect with your multi-cluster management interface to collect inventory, virtualization metrics, and health data. This provides a centralized view of your entire Nutanix environment.

Before starting the integration, ensure the following:

  • Administrative or Read-Only access to Prism Central
  • Prism Central hostname or IP address
  • Network connectivity between Cywift and the controller

Step1: Create Read-Only User

Cywift uses API-based communication for secure access

  1. Log in to the Nutanix Prism Central console.
  2. Navigate to: Settings → User Management → Users.
  3. Create a new user with the Role: Viewer (or equivalent Read-Only role).
  4. Save the user.

Step2: Navigate to Integrations in Cywift

  • Log in to the Cywift Platform
  • Go to Integration from the left menu
  • Under Virtualization
  • Select Nutanix Prism Central
  • Click Connect

Step3: Add Individual Integration

Use this option when integrating a single Nutanix Prism Central instance.

RequiredField
  • Number of Integration: Select Individual Integration
  • Integration Type: Virtualization
  • Collectors: Select a configured collector
  • Integration System: Nutanix Prism Central
  • Alias: Enter a friendly name
  • Owner: Select integration owner
  • Host Address: Enter Prism Central hostname or IP
  • Username: Enter API username
  • Password: Enter API password

Step 4: Add Bulk Integration

Use this option to integrate multiple Nutanix Prism Central instance.

Steps:

• Select Bulk Integration
• Download Template
• Fill required account details
• Upload file
• Click Test Connection

Troubleshooting Tips

• Verify Prism Central services are running
• Validate API username and password
• Ensure the user has Read-Only (Viewer) permissions
• Check network connectivity and HTTPS/API access
