Huawei
Overview
The Huawei Integration allows Cywift to securely connect with Huawei network devices to collect device inventory, configuration data, interface details, routing information, access control configuration, and hardening evidence.
Before starting the integration, ensure the following:
• Huawei device access
• Read-only network account
• SSH access enabled
• Device hostname or IP address
• Collector configured in Cywift
Step 1: Prepare Huawei Access
- Log in to the Huawei device.
- Create a dedicated user account for the integration.
- Enable SSH management access.
- Assign the required read-only permissions to the integration account.
- Verify the device is reachable from the Cywift Collector.
Important Notes:
• Use SSH instead of Telnet
• Apply the principle of least privilege
• Restrict management access to trusted collector IP addresses
• Avoid using shared administrator accounts
